Near Miss for the month - Andrew Green

Andrew went to the workshop to pick up a truck which had just been serviced. Andrew carried out his vehicle pre-check and everything seemed to be fine. Andrew travelled back to the terminal and loaded for his first job of the night, completed the delivery and returned to the terminal to load for the next delivery. During the electrical isolation process Andrew noticed a large amount of oil around the chassis, guard and master switch. Andrew travelled back to the workshop to get it fixed by the service agent where it was identified the gearbox filling bung was missing.

Well done Andrew. The consequences of not being observant and acting to remedy the situation would have been a costly gearbox repair.
