More safety and more comfort

In the 35 years Stu Raynor has been behind the wheel, the trucks have become much bigger with more advanced technology and safety features – as well as being more comfortable for the driver.

Stu is one of the old boys for fuel tanker drivers in the country having worked for the last 29 years in fuel deliveries - working for Shell then for Alexander Transport on the Shell contract until Pacific Fuel Haul took over that contract eight years ago.

Mainly handling deliveries from Dunedin north to Blenheim and including the West Coast, Stu really enjoys being on the open road enjoying the South Island countryside – and dealing with the challenges of an environment where the weather can change dramatically in minutes.

And when Stu’s not delivering vital fuel supplies, you'll find him relaxing on his 10-acre lifestyle block in the Eyrewell Forest of North Canterbury. Here Stu will be working with his wife and family setting up their nuts and soft fruits orchards - or can be found in the workshop making or repairing anything wooden in his spare time. Stu also enjoys the odd game of golf for relaxing - if time allows.
