Safety KPI Performance Update along with Safety message for the month – Paul Gardiner

We are all on the same safety journey where doing the job safely is everyone’s responsibility and number one priority. Looking out for and identifying hazards in the workplace before starting any part of the process is the key to preventing an accident or incident from happening.

Everyday tasks carry a certain amount of risk and by knowing what the risks are helps with putting systems and controls in place to prevent harm to the worker (people), equipment, environment and reputations. I’m positive that everyone is focussed on doing their best to prevent themselves from having an accident or incident but please also look out for co-workers and members of the public.

 A Great Safety Moment 

Chris Martin – Operations Supervisor (LPG SI)

Taranaki-based Chris Martin observed an unsafe situation where a solid buckle on a shade sail had almost worn through. Chris Immediately responded by cordoning off the area using cones and danger tape, sent an Email alerting all Bell Block staff of the unsafe condition and the area now being out of bounds. Chris then arranged for repair work to be carried out after entering it in ASSURA. Well done Chris!!
